Seriously thinking...need your help!

Hope is trying to lift herself out of crib at times, and she fell once. I know she hates her crib sometimes because she hates restraint...but should I transition her to her big girl bed at 2 1/2? It would give me more space in her playroom, but she'd be everywhere....groannn. Dunno what to do? What are you guys doing with your lil babies?

Thankfully Grace hasn't even tried to get out of her crib, because I plan on leaving her there for a LONG time :) She would never go to sleep in a bed yet, or actually stay put in a bed. I've seen those crib tents (nets) you attach for exactly that reason. Try that!

We transitioned our Hope into a toddler bed a couple of months ago, she is almost 2 1/2. The first couple of nights were challenging with the new found freedom. But since then she stays in bed. We are thinking about moving her into a regular twin in a couple of months.

Interesting question since we should be bringing home our little girl in the next month or two and she is only 18 months old now. We do not have and have turned down the use of a crib. She will be in a child's bed from day one. We plan to sleep on the floor (or at least one of us) in her room until she adjusts.

This doesn't really help you but...

We ended up ordering a crib tent and we are very happy with it: www.amazon.com/Tots-Mind-Cozy-Crib-White/dp/B00014PLAY

Clara was trying to climb out of the crib and there was no way she was ready for a bed yet. I can't even fathom that yet :)

The first few nights she hated the tent, but now actually likes it and tries to "help" zip it up at night!
